WHO WE ARE

RipRoar Events is the leader of endurance event production, brand activation experiences, and product design in the Midwest. What started out as a movement to re-introduce youth triathlon to the Midwest has grown into a movement spanning from Iowa’s largest half marathon to Milk Bar cereal activations on college campuses. Everything we do centers around bringing people together and making it unforgettable.

INTERNSHIP

NOW HIRING | Interns for Spring + Summer

Event production work is a large part of all internships. In the summer, we spend a lot of time at our events. On these days, you will be outside, building, branding, educating, encouraging, monitoring, moving and high-fiving.

You will work long hours in heat, rain, darkness, and sometimes (what we wish for) beautiful weather. These days are the culmination of all our office work, and while they might be challenging, they are some of the most memorable work days you’ll ever have.

FROM FORMER INTERNS…

  • Caylee cunningham

Social Media Intern, Class of 2025

This work is no joke. The hours are long, the lifting is intense, the tasks are nonstop. But there’s this deep kind of joy that comes from doing hard things - especially when you’re doing them for a purpose bigger than yourself. And that purpose? It’s people. The athletes, the families, the kids - they’re the reason we do this.

Everyone out there has a story. And you? You get to be part of it. You’re not just setting up cones or handing out medals - you’re helping create moments people won’t forget. That is something special!

Michael once said. “There’s something to be said about doing hard things when you’re surrounded by good people.” And RipRoar is full of good people. The kind of people who become like family to you over the summer. This internship taught me to love doing hard things.

  • Lexi Gabrielson

    APEX, Spring 2024

Working for RipRoar is the best internship you can take. You will learn leadership skills while working in groups to produce events from the large scale event to small aspects like a finish line build out, etc… you will learn teamwork like no one else can teach you! You simply can’t put a race on for 6,000+ people all by yourself. It’s crucial to break into teams, “know your place” -salisa, and get your tasks done so that everything comes together. You will make such great friends as you spend an intense amount of time with each other over the course of the summer. You will learn “life skills” that you didn’t know you needed and that will help you throughout the remainder of your life. Some of these skills include driving a box truck, using an oscillating tool, running cables so nobody can see them, working with vendors to promote an event, and most importantly, that there isn’t one thing on this earth that can’t be fixed with a zip tie! You will end your summer with a dirty pair of white tennishoes, some crazy sock and T-shirt tan lines, random pockets full of zip tie cuts, a Fanny pack full of granola bar wrappers, and the memory of a fulfilling and adventurous summer!

  • Mia Woodwick

Graphic Design / Event Intern, Class of 2020

RipRoar is unlike any other company, it’s an opportunity to connect with amazing people. It’s a chance to do challenging things. It’s a place to have fun, and laugh while you work (yes it’s possible). It’s the ability to give back to the community and create something special. I’ve found my passion, a best friend, and have made memories to last me a lifetime. Give it a chance and see what incredible things you can do with RipRoar ❤️

  • Blake Tubbs

Graphic Design Intern, Class of 2025

I really enjoyed working at RipRoar I feel like they gave me a great opportunity to grow as a person and a leader and take on a lot of responsibility with my work. I was working on real things and got to see my hard work in the real world.
